Three lovely ladies, 30 days, 34 quilt shops.
Last year we had three lovely ladies, 30 days, and 32 shops and we managed to make it through the month and visit each shop.
My grandmother, and I decided last March that we were going to participate in the Shop Hop during the month of April. This is where you go visit all the listed shops have our passport signed, and look around at shops we don't always get to see. We enjoy many hours spending time together and we always think of some item we can pick up to work on some project that we have.
Last year we decided that at each shop we would by a fat quarter to go into our "stash". We didn't pick any theme but we knew we wanted to buy something at each shop other than what each shop gave us for a "freebie".
Gram and I set out the first day to visit 7 shops. After we returned home my mother decided that she was going to be crafty and she wanted to join in the shop hop. She was now 7 shops behind us. My wonderful grandmother picked a day and took off with my mother to visit the same 7 shops again so that my mother would be caught up.
We spent many more days taking many adventures visiting many different quilt shops. Each shop we did indeed each by a fat quarter. We also bought various other items depending on which shops we visited and which projects we were working on at the time.
We made trips way down South, we made trips way up North. We had great time spent together. And the three of us wait in anticipation for this years shop hop.
I am the organizer, I run the GPS, I schedule the days and shops we visit. My mom drives, it's a good thing she likes to drive. And gram gives up her, so she sits in the front and is mom's co pilot.
So maybe I will show some pictures of this I got a last years shop hop or maybe I will just get some from this year.
So with that...... I am off to schedule and plan.
