Busy Thimble

Busy Thimble

Litchfield, ME

Ah, when you get out of the car at this shop, smell the farm, the manure and listen to the cows.

Look at these ladies go! Maybe because they kow it is the last shop that needs to be done!

Ah, FABRIC!!!!

And more fabric!

I love the added picture to this.

Brown and green again, I think there is a theme here.

Ah, done!!!!! All 34 shops in 30 days DONE!!!

Cozy Cottage Fabrics

Cozy Cottage Fabrics

Augusta, ME

We had to back track a bit to finish the last couple because there were close on a Monday when we had done the other closer shops.

Very interesting twist to the challenge really including the Maine theme.

Ah, browns and greens together.

Quilt Divas

Quilt Divas

Rockland ME

This shop has a lot of fabrics but a lot with large print and they have them arranged in a very different way.

A challenge with a new perspective.

A Fat quarter

A goodie bag, filled with some thread, some scraps of fabric and other items.

Nancy's

Nancy's Sewing Center

Belfast, ME

This shop is located in a women's garage more or less. But she is super friendly and I just love dropping by here if I am in the area.

Another very different challenge. With just being given the few fabrics that must be used it makes it so every shop really can do something different.

She has fabrics laid out in such a great display.

Ah, A love for GREEN!!!

I got this great fabric that I have since turned into a pillow case for Ryan.

And this one also, is yet another pillow case

And this fabric mom and I bought the end of the bolt but it is perfect for the back of both of our quilts we plan on making with our Shop Hop fat quarters.

And more fabric we bought lots of that would also work well for the back!

Sewing by the Sea

Sewing by the Sea

Trenton, ME

This shop is always interesting. I never find much that interests me except they do have a lot of wildlife fabrics, and some flannel.

A cute little sign by the door!

A different challenge.

Fabricate

Fabricate

Bar Harbor, ME

This is a very small shop that has the mix of quilting and scrapbooking.

What a way to incorporate all things Maine into this challenge.

And the owner couldn't wait to take a picture of the three generations doing the shop hop together in order to post it on her website and facebook page.

I must admit I really do love this picture!

A simple yet, slightly crazy fat quarter.

A different size challenge here.

Stitches

Stitches Fabric and Yarn

Newport, ME

This shop I always enjoy going to. It isn't that they have an over abundance of fabric.

They have just the right amount of fabric which allows me to enjoy looking around without being over whelmed.

I also love the friendlyness of the owner of this shop.
Another shop that took a totally different approach to this challenge.

Ah, I just fall in love with fabric. And fat quarters are just the fix!

We also got this super cute coffee cup with the stitches information on it, some other goodies and of course chocolate!

Crazy Moose Fabrics

Crazy Moose Fabrics

Greenville, ME

This shop has a different take then I enjoy. This year I dreaded going to this shop because the year before there was a lack of anything that interested me.

The challege was very basic.

And a fat quarter.

This fat quarter fabric I also purchased later in the year for another project that I have been working on.

Rather B Quilting

Rather- B- Quilting

Hogdon, ME

This was a new stop added this year. This was about 15 miles south of Houlton. It was out in the middle of no where but we got to see some beautiful views as we headed back toward the interstate.

This shop added so much to their challenge.

A fat Quarter from the Dragonfly summer line.

By which I also bought the charm pack of the same line.

Garden Gate Fabrics

Garden Gate Fabrics

Chapman, ME

This shop is way out in the middle of no where located in a women's house in the basement. It is a smaller shop but the women here is very friendly.

I do like the challenge. Every challenge we saw is different and allows a way to see how all the different fabrics can be used.

A Fat Quarter, like I don't have enough.

We also visited this shop when we went to Caribou in July for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. This was also the weekend after my own wedding. We enjoyed taking, Carol, Lynda, and Amy to a sewing shop that they had never been to but we had seen before!

Yardgoods

Yardgoods

Waterville, ME

This is a closer to home shop although not one that I care so much for.

The put at interesting spin on the challenge trying to make it like a flag.

This shop does have a lot of fabircs but not that many of my likings. It also has a lot of yarn in the other section of the store.
