This challenge really worked well with the Maine theme with the loons in the window boxes.
I picked up a charm pack here which was still marked down to the old prices, and some fabric for a binding to go on a wall hanging that I need to get working on that has labs in it!
We got cute little "goodie bags"
Filled with all sorts of things! A fat quarter, a granola bar, a water, and our charm square.
Then after a short break to use the bathroom and to pick up beverages to keep up going it was on the road again for.....
Sew Portland!
This is a much smaller shop, with a very different take on the challenge quilt!
And back on the road again headed for Freeport!
Cotton Weeds is always a good stop with a nice country relaxing feel. Very calming fabrics in a nicely well lit space.
I like the spin on this challenge with the quilt looking like mountains and lake.
And more goodies!
Before we hit the road this next time we knew we were really pushing for our time. We knew our next stop closed at 5 but we thought where there were five of us we might just try giving them a call and seeing if the would stay open just a few minutes where the GPS said we should be arriving there at 5:10.
ah, Mariner's Compass! Friendly and we were so happy they stayed open. This is a closer to home quilt shop but not one that we visit that often. I definitly bought some goodies and would reccomend this stop to anyone after they were so nice to wait for us.
They really took the "Bali Road Rally" and made their entire check in station a tailgating party! We got plastic cups with fabric and coupons and other goodies in them.
And their quilt used a lot of the darker fabrics which I think looked just beautiful!
And the girls are all out of the last shop and ready to head home!
Look at that packed trunk!!! These ladies must have had a real fun time!
I got home and couldn't wait to take out all of my goodies and look at them.
I even got them all put away where they belonged so when we do our next day of shopping I don't make a mess in my sewing room bringing all the goodies in!
And the 7 charm sqaures from the 7 shops we visited.
I can't wait for the next day of shopping but I know it's coming soon!
